Hal, the Boomerang Bird, aka. Green Bird, sometimes known as Al, is a green toucan that has the power to boomerang. You need to tap the screen to activate it though. It's first appearence was in Danger Above. In Angry Birds Seasons, he made a different sound than in Angry Birds, but in Angry Birds Rio, they updated Hal to his Chrome design. They made a plush for Hal, but in 2012. they updated it and made a newer plush like how he is in Angry Birds Rio.
There is an older design of the Boomerang Bird, but it got changed to a more rounder beak, bigger eyes, and hair going foward.

- Hal and Stella were the only members of the main flock who existed at the time not to appear in Angry Birds Toons. Hal's Toons design depicts a black mask all over his face, the yellow ring around his eyes, and a very long sharped pointed beak.
- Hal has different sounds in Angry Birds Seasons games when launched from slingshot. His original launch voice was actually one of the birds grumbling while waiting.
- It was later changed into Angry Birds Seasons version in both Angry Birds Classic, Angry Birds Friends, and Angry Birds Rio.
- Hal's toons design was changed in some Angry Birds games. In Angry Birds 2, he has a different design instead of the black mask all over the face, the yellow ring around his eyes, and a long sharped pointed beak; it is a mixture of classic design and his Angry Birds Movie design. And in latest versions of Angry Birds Friends, while all designs were changed to toons designs, Hal's design has given a new one; a body like classic but with yellow eye rings, and a long curved beak.
